The Bible is a compendium of stories of how nations rose and fell with and without God, respectively. That is because it is the only righteousness that exalts any nation (Prov 14:34). The historical events of the Israelites crying out to God during times of distress and going back to worship idols paint a perfect picture of man’s nature. It is ingrained in humans to respond to God only in times of need. However, the Psalmist established a truth in Psalm 24:1 “The earth is the LORD’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein…”. This means we are made to play by the rules of Him who owns the world, who is Jesus. We are out of touch with the multifaceted riches of the earth when we do not embrace God’s perspective on His creation. We experience a good Life and operate effectively only with God. All we see today in the nations of the world are the side effects of man’s decisions, with and without God.

As a nation, we must come to terms with the fact that we are created for His pleasure (Rev 4:11). God derives pleasure in seeing the nations of the world saved, so we may fulfil His mandate.

John 3:16–17 NKJV says “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. [17] For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”

His love mandates Christians to present Jesus in the most accurate way possible. In other words, we are God’s strategy in this sick and dying world. A songwriter says, “Jesus is the answer for the world today!…”

Like Daniel, we must spend quality time with the Holy Spirit for Jesus to be revealed in and through our lives.

Thus says the Lord to you, “Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. [2] For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the LORD will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you. [3] The Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising (Isaiah 60:1–3).”

For God’s glory to be seen over you, it is expected of you to confront the looming darkness that has disguised itself in the form of lawless policies. The prophets of old such as Elijah, John the Baptist, Deborah, Moses, Paul and our Lord Jesus turned their world upside-down. The world was not worthy of these men (Heb 11:38a). God is calling you into His governmental agenda as stated in Isaiah 9:6-7 NKJV:

“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. [7] Of the increase of His government and peace, There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.”

The truth you know about Jesus is sufficient to leaven the world (Matthew 13:33).

The days are coming, and it is now when kings and kingdoms will worship their True King and Maker (Psalms 86:9). The nations will acknowledge the missing link (Jesus) for wars, immorality, depression, suicide, self-centeredness and the like. We shall be married to the real Owner of the land (Isa 62:4). Let your praise and worship well up within you to God and do not be shaken. Like Prophetess Anna in Luke 2:36-38, our relentless prayer, outreach, service and worship to God will make this happen!
