Praying for the nation of Israel (by Rita)

Luke 20:37-38
[37]Now that the dead are raised, even Moses shewed at the bush, when he calleth the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.
[38]For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.

* Thank God for establishing the patriarchal covenant and blessing of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob the nation of Israel by which all nations are blessed

Psalms 122:6-8
[6]Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.
[7]Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.
[8]For my brethren and companions’ sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.

• Pray for Israel’s national security and prosperity. Security from all sorts of terrorist attacks, and from enemies that desire and seek their extinction, for protection against national economic difficulties due to inflation.

*Pray for the increase of economic productivity in Israel

Psalms 121:4
[4]Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

• Pray that God’s covenant of protection over the nation of Israel will not be broken,

* Pray for the safety every individual Israelite, that The LORD would keep them and would save them

Ezekiel 12:22-23
[22]Son of man, what is that proverb that ye have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged, and every vision faileth?
[23]Tell them therefore, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but say unto them, The days are at hand, and the effect of every vision.

* Pray that The Holy Spirit will open the understanding of the Israelites to see the fulfillment of the prophecies concerning the Messiah in Jesus; that they should realise that Jesus is The Messiah and he has already come, (They should stop wating for another)

John 4:48
[48]Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.

* Pray for the performance of new types of signs and wonders in Israel that will reveal Jesus and persuade unbelieving Jews to embrace Jesus as the Messiah and come to follow Him

Psalms 68:11
[11]The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.

* Pray for a greater and more effective spread of Christian media and the gospel in the nation of Israel, that the national consciousness be heightened to the Person of Jesus this year resulting in many, many souls receiving Jesus as their LORD.

Proverbs 21:1
[1]The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.

* Pray for Israeli politics, that satan will not highjack their leadership, instead leadership favouring God’s purposes will be installed and those that are leading will be compelled to do the will of God.

Deuteronomy 6:6-9
[6] These words I am commanding you today are to be upon your hearts.
[7] And you shall teach them diligently to your children and speak of them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
[8] Tie them as reminders on your hands and bind them on your foreheads
[9] Write them on the doorposts of your houses and on your gates

• Pray for Israeli youth! That they would not be misled by the spirit of this age, but God will orchestrate sound instruction to come to them and grant them a hunger for Himself.

Deuteronomy 1:11
[11]The LORD God of your fathers make you a thousand times so many more as ye are, and bless you, as he hath promised you!

• Pray for the increase of the Jewish nation, pray that their babies will be protected and preserved, and the nation will increase, numerically, and in all areas

Romance 10:1-4
[1] Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is for their salvation.
[2] For I testify about them that they are zealous for God, but not on the basis of knowledge.
[3] Because they were ignorant of God’s righteousness and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness.
[4] For Christ is the end of the law, to bring righteousness to everyone who believes.

*Pray that scale and veil of religion that has blinded the Jews from recognising their Saviour be removed and that they will come to the saving Grace of Jesus
