MERCY

Our God is so gracious and merciful. He understands our human frailties and the fact that without his mercy none of us can make it. So, he provides us with a guarantee of mercy. The mercy of our God is inexhaustible. The mercy of God for us is automatically refreshed every day.

Lamentations 3:22-23 NKJV

“Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not.

They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness”.

The reason why we can trust God’s promises of mercy is because of his faithfulness:

Deuteronomy 7:9 NKJV

“Therefore, know that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments”.

CONSECRATION

The act of dedicating yourself to the service and worship of God. It also refers to holiness or to dedicate oneself to a higher purpose.

Leviticus 20:7 NKJV

“Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy, for I am the LORD your God”.

We do not deserve the mercy God has shown us:

I John 4:10 NKJV

“In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins”.

Since he died for us, the life we live now is not ours anymore but his. So, we are compelled to dedicate our lives to him who actually owns us:

II Corinthians 5:15 NKJV

“and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again”
