Ps.85:3-7 (KJV)[3]Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger.[4] Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine anger toward us to cease.[5] Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations?[6] Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?

[7] Shew us thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us thy salvation.

In the context of the Old Testament, before the coming of The Christ and consummation of the Redemption, Israel (often through mourning) sought revival severally through the years on account of the consequences of their sins or backsliding upon their national or personal relationship with God. Revival to Israel meant a spiritual awakening from sin in the pursuit of intimacy with God, and/or the restoration of well-being for the nation. While this dimension of revival is still relevant today, those who are the fruit of the Redemption in Christ Jesus; that is, The Church, have a further interaction with the concept of revival.

The Church is informed as to how to stay revived on a sustained basis. The Apostle teaches us.

Romans 12:11 The Passion Translation)

[11] Be enthusiastic to serve the Lord, keeping your passion toward him boiling hot! Radiate with the glow of the Holy Spirit and let him fill you with excitement as you serve him.

* Pray for enthusiasm to serve the LORD

* Pray that your Passion for Him remains boiling hot

2 Timothy 1:6 (The Amplified Bible, Classic Edition)

[6] That is why I would remind you to stir up (rekindle the embers of, fan the flame of, and keep burning) the [gracious] gift of God, [the inner fire] that is in you by means of the laying on of my hands [with those of the elders at your ordination].

* Pray with your understanding and spirit for the activation or full expression of every gift and potential deposits in your spirit

* Pray you shall be effective in using them in service to the Kingdom of God

Paul implies that living revived, for those of us in Christ Jesus, is connected to tending the health of our inner spirit-man, and then applying those potentials of the spirit in serving the LORD. The New Testament goes much further though than the Old; in that as we live aglow in God (i.e. cultivating intimacy with God in our inner man, then applying the capacities of our spirits in service to Jesus), it will have a kingdom ripple effect on our environment.

Mark 16:15,17,20 New Living Translation)

[15] And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.

[17] These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak in new languages.

[20] And the disciples went everywhere and preached, and the Lord worked through them, confirming what they said by many miraculous signs.

And that is the protocol for local, and even global harvest. A special time of harvest is upon us Church; The LORD is coming soon!

* Pray that you will be faithful in preaching The Gospel

* Pray that you will be effective in ministering the supernatural in the most difficult areas or cases

* Pray that much souls will come to Christ through you

* Pray that The LORD stir up The Global Church in the same way He is stirring you
