Goal: To intercede for the spiritual, economic, and social well-being of nations, using Ireland as a focal point for prayer and prophetic declarations.
Scripture Focus: Psalm 22:28 (NIV): “For dominion belongs to the Lord, and he rules over the nations.”
The Call to Intercede for Nations:
God’s purpose for humanity is intricately tied to the nations of the earth. From the beginning, He envisioned nations walking in righteousness, reflecting His glory, and fulfilling His will (Acts 17:26-28). Yet, nations are plagued by moral decay, spiritual apathy, economic challenges, and divisive conflicts. The church, however, is called to stand in the gap and intercede for nations, seeking God’s intervention and restoration (Ezekiel 22:30).
As we focus on Ireland, we recognize its history as a land that has experienced great spiritual awakenings but now faces certain challenges that mirror global trends: secularization, political polarization, and economic uncertainty. Praying for Ireland becomes a symbolic act of intercession for all nations, believing that God’s power can bring transformation.
Prayer Points for the Nations:
- Pray for National Repentance and Righteousness
Scripture: 2 Chronicles 7:14 (NIV): “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
Prayer Point: Ask God to stir the hearts of the people in Ireland and other nations toward repentance. Declare that righteousness will reign in governments, institutions, and homes, as people turn back to God.
2. Pray for Godly Leadership
Scripture: Proverbs 29:2 (NIV): “When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan.”
Prayer Point: Pray for leaders in Ireland and across the world to walk in integrity, wisdom, and the fear of the Lord. Ask God to remove corrupt influences and to position leaders who will uphold justice and righteousness.
- Pray for Spiritual Revival
Scripture: Habakkuk 3:2 (NIV): “Lord, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, Lord. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy.”
Prayer Point: Intercede for a mighty spiritual awakening in Ireland and the nations, where churches are reignited with passion for prayer, holiness, and evangelism. Pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit that will transform lives and societies.
- Pray for Peace and Unity
Scripture: Psalm 133:1 (NIV): “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!”
Prayer Point: Declare peace over Ireland and nations facing political and societal divisions. Pray that conflicts and animosities will be replaced with unity and reconciliation.
- Pray for Economic Stability and Prosperity
Scripture: Deuteronomy 8:18 (NIV): “But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant.”
Prayer Point: Ask God to bless Ireland’s economy and other struggling nations. Pray for economic policies that promote equity and prosperity, and for businesses to operate with integrity and innovation.
- Pray for the Next Generation
Scripture: Psalm 145:4 (NIV): “One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts.”
Prayer Point: Pray that young people in Ireland and across the globe will encounter God’s love and truth. Ask that they rise as a generation of revivalists, equipped to lead their nations toward Christ.
- Pray for the Spread of the Gospel
Scripture: Matthew 24:14 (NIV): “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”
Prayer Point: Pray for missionaries, evangelists, and churches in Ireland to boldly proclaim the gospel. Ask for open doors in nations where the gospel is restricted, and for the message of Christ to reach the unreached.
- Pray Against Spiritual Strongholds
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (NIV): “The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.”
Prayer Point: Intercede against spiritual forces that hinder the advancement of God’s kingdom in Ireland and the nations. Pray for deliverance from idolatry, secularism, and any form of oppression.
Closing Declaration
Heavenly Father, we lift up Ireland as a point of contact for the nations of the earth. Let Your righteousness, peace, and glory reign across all lands. May the leaders, citizens, and generations to come align with Your divine purpose. We declare that nations will rise to fulfill their destiny in You, and that the earth will be filled with the knowledge of Your glory as the waters cover the sea (Habakkuk 2:14).
In Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen.

The closing declaration rather today prayer theme, engaging the nations, remind me of sheep nations and goat nations in these last days. We really need to see more sheep nations as the prophecy states: for the earth to be filled with the knowledge of God. May the power behind this prophecy makes all nations to be discipled until the last person has heard including states and supra states/all nations in Jesus Christ name.
