Thus says the Lord GOD to these bones: “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. Ezekiel 37:5 NKJV
Revival is not merely a series of exciting meetings or an emotional experience; it’s a divine awakening that restores the God kind of life in us and restores our relationship with God. It rekindles our passion for prayer, reestablishes our hunger for the Word, and empowers us to live holy with passion for God and the lost. Without the fire of God to warm our hearts, we risk falling into dead religion, devoid of true affection for Christ, and lacking in purpose.
Restoration of Spiritual Hunger for Prayer and the Word
A significant hallmark of revival is the restoration of spiritual hunger. True revival provokes ayearning, a deep desire for God, not a yearning for special events and programs. Jesus said, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.”(Matthew 5:6)
This spiritual hunger rekindles and intensifies our desire for prayer and the Word. It sparks a shift from ceremonial and ritualistic prayer to passionate fellowship, heart to heart communion with the father, for God “has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ” (1 Cor 1:9). When revival stirs in us, our desire for word intensifies, culminating in a hunger to know Him more deeply and live according to His will.
True Revival is of the Spirit not of the flesh and true revival does not simply seek to change our circumstances but to change our hearts.
“Yet even now,” declares the LORD, “return to Me with all your heart, with fasting, weeping, and mourning.” 13So rend your hearts and not your garments, and return to the LORD your God. (Joel 2:12,13)
Revival begins with us, it has to start from our homes to our church, and then to the community and to the Nations of the world. We have to restore the alter of prayer and daily devotion and study of the word, in our homes. Righteousness and holiness have to be virtues we cherish.
Psalm 63:1 God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water..
We need a fresh hunger and thirst, not after the latest technology but a hunger after God, a thirst for His word, for holiness and for righteousness.

Luke 10:2 He told them, the harvest is abundant, but the workers are few therefore, pray to the lord of harvest to send out workers to the harvest
