DAY 3 – SPIRITUAL RENEWAL AND EMPOWERMENT

He gives strength to those who are tired. He gives power to those who are weak. Even young people become worn out and get tired. Even the best of them trip and fall. But those who trust in the Lord will receive new strength. They will fly as high as eagles. They will run and not get tired. They will walk and not grow weak.

Isaiah 40:29 – 31(NIRV)

At different points in our Christian journey, believers often encounter seasons of spiritual exhaustion, dryness, or discouragement. Many start the year with great zeal, passion, and commitment to their walk with God, but over time the pressures of life, temptations, and the weight of responsibilities begin to take their toll. When this happens, the right response is to make a conscious decision to turn to God for spiritual renewal and empowerment. Our spirits require continual refreshing to remain strong, resilient, and vibrant. Turning to God in these moments not only replenishes our strength but also revives and transforms our relationship with Him, for He renews and empowers us through the Holy Spirit so that our fellowship with Him and our service to Him remain effective.

The Need

When we begin to conform to the world’s standards, it reveals that spiritual renewal and empowerment are needed. This can be seen when our prayer lives become inconsistent, our worship becomes mechanical, we take lightly the gathering of the saints, or we lose excitement for the things of the Spirit.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing, and perfect will.” Romans 12:2 (NIV)

The Source

God alone is the source of true spiritual renewal and empowerment. It does not come from increased activity, personal effort, or outward performance. Renewal begins within and then finds expression outwardly. The Holy Spirit performs this work in us when we turn to God through repentance, surrender, and a genuine pursuit of His presence.

So repent [change your inner self—your old way of thinking], and return [to God—seek His purpose], so that your sins may be wiped away, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.” Acts 3:19 (AMP)

The Pathway

• Recognize the need for renewal and long for God with earnest desire. Where sin is involved, repentance and confession are necessary. (“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9)

• Spend time in God’s presence through prayer, worship, and feeding on His Word (“but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31)

• Seek the infilling of the Holy Spirit, who renews, empowers, and ignites fresh passion within. (“And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit,” Ephesians 5:18)

Prayer Points:

1. Lord, give me a deeper hunger and thirst for Your Word and Your presence. (Psalm 42:1; Matthew 5:6)

2. Lord, give me the spirit of wisdom and revelation that brings deep, personal, and intimate insight into the true knowledge of You. (Ephesians 1:17)

3. Father, strengthen me with might in my inner man by Your Spirit. (Ephesians 3:16)

4. O Lord, as I meditate on Your Word, revive me and restore my vision and spiritual sensitivity. (Psalm 19:7)

5. Father, may the gifts and fruit of the Spirit be evident in my life. (Galatians 5:22–23; 1 Corinthians 12:7–11)

Declaration:

I declare that my trust is in the Lord, and my strength is renewed. I am empowered; therefore, I fly as high as eagles. I run and do not get tired. I walk and do not grow weak. God, through the Holy Spirit, has given me the spirit of wisdom and revelation; therefore, I have deep, personal, and intimate insight into the true knowledge of God and the finished work of Christ on the cross. I declare that I am renewed, empowered, and strengthened for the journey ahead. Hallelujah!

A time of refreshing, renewal and empowerment is a must for every child of God. One of the ministries of the Holy spirit is to help us when we are weak and to empower us to do the work God has given us to do.
Thank you for sharing this word!!

T his is a paramount topic and concept to understand when seeking depth in Gods presence. The environment we create for God within us is so important. We can’t ask for holiness whilst actively dwelling in unholiness. The more we understand how much we need God for us to continually die to our fleshly desires and nature, the deeper we’ll go into His presence. Thank you Lord for Your word!
